A long term member of the omoc and general car nut, Suffolk County Mantas was started in March 2004 by Simon Peckham following a number of year’s restoring the Opel Manta as a hobby.
Simon himself studied vehicle engineering at WSC before going on to work in the agricultual constrution field. Working with laser technology aswell as precision CNC and CAD design along side sheet metal fabrication, he’s used these lessons to apply proper engineering practice to building custom, one off cars.
Specialist’s in restoring the Opel Manta to a high standard and modifying your car to your requirements.
Since starting Suffolk County Mantas have moved into larger premises based in Stanton, near Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk to accomodate an increase in work. I now have 4000 sq ft of workshop space. The building itself was used in WW2 by the US air force. Much visited by omoc members.
